Ted Wold Memorial Scholarship
The Ted Wold Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to a Richardson High School Theatre Magnet senior who is pursuing a major in Theatre. The scholarship honors the beloved Dallas actor, NYC acting coach, and 1977 RHS graduate.
Ted radiated kindness. Through his love for Theatre, he touched so many lives as an actor, director, teacher, and friend. Through the Ted Wold Memorial Scholarship, he will continue to impact the lives of young actors for years to come.
Ted, who devoted his life to acting and teaching acting, began his theatrical journey at Richardson High School, where he performed in many productions, including William Shakespeare’s The Comedy of Errors, which went on to win the Texas State 4A UIL One-Act Play contest in 1976.
Ted made a deep and lasting impact with every theatre he worked with.
Tracy Fisher Memorial Scholarship
The Tracy Fisher Memorial Scholarship is awarded annually to any deserving Senior who has demonstrated dedication to the Richardson High School Theatre Collective over their four years, regardless of their chosen career path or college major. The scholarship honors the memory of cherished RHS Theatre Alumni Tracy Fisher, who in 2009 passed away during her freshman year at the University of Missouri. Tracy, former editor of the Richardson High School newspaper The Talon, hoped to work in the magazine industry. She was a pre-journalism major at Mizzou, and worked for their college newspaper, The Maneater. In her blog, she once wrote that her big dream was to be either chief editor or production manager for Seventeen or Cosmopolitan magazines. Tracy exuded kindness and joy, and with the Tracy Fisher Memorial Scholarship, she can help other RHS Theatre alumni realize their big dreams.
